My aunt has been a resident here for almost a year as we moved her from CA to AZ in November 2024. We really like the personal care she receives here as opposed to larger place she was in before. Steve and Ema are extremely hands on with everything. In fact, Ema is an RN so she knows exactly what each resident needs (and doesn't need) from a medical standpoint. The staff is terrific as well. My aunt has her favorite caregiver and my family has come to get to know and like her as well. In sum, if you're looking for an assisted living home, look no further. If you don't believe me, just check out the other reviews!

We are very pleased with our father’s experience at Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living. It’s never easy to have to place a loved one in living situation out of the house but we have peace of mind that he is safe, well cared for, and comfortable. Ema and Steve, the owners, are very hands on and obviously take pride in their establishment; they are attentive to detail and very responsive if there are questions or issues. The staff is attentive, competent, warm, and patient. The place itself is immaculate, well equipped, and attractive, indoors and out.

You’ll find caring individuals at this assisted living facility. Located in a private neighborhood this large home is perfect with private rooms, large gathering kitchen/great room and outdoor patios. Bright and super clean with a friendly staff and attentive owners/operators.

My 98 yo mother spent the last 7 mos of her life here. The staff is caring. Any minor concens I had were quickly addressed by Ema and Steve. Ema handled any medical issues or medication adjustments immediately. I highly recommend this living situation for an elder who can no longer handle the tasks of daily living and self-care independently. For the location and services offered I felt the cost was not unreasonable.

Our sweet mother was only at this home for about 4 months but from the beginning, we knew we made the right choice!!
Steve and Ema, the owners, are not only attentive, professional, and efficient but kind and loving.
They must hand pick their staff as they too are the same. Having our mother have a primary care giver made a huge difference in her and our comfort level moving her in. She (Kareen) got to know her so well her care was extremely individualized and our mother had some challenging medical issues to deal with. Mom called her “my angel”.
The kindness and respect everyone exuded to the residents and families we witnessed will be treasured and remembered forever!!

My mother has been at Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living for two weeks now. The love and care she has received has been more than I could hope for! The owners, Steven and Ema have the biggest hearts and are so invested in what they do! Their staff is amazing as well! Knowing that my mom is safe, and has 24/7 care at her fingertips is such a secure and wonderful blessing! This place has many ways for the residents to get involved in activities and to socialize, and also the autonomy to spend time alone if they want. The staff keeps tabs on where they are at all times, There are many areas outside of the facility contained in the fenced in property that they can go to relax at, either to spend time alone, or to socialize with another. The staff really listens to their needs, and explains things as they do them, or as needed.
I feel secure knowing my mom is in this "home away from home"!

We recently moved my Dad, 91 yrs old, to Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living following a fall. We could not be more thrilled with the loving care and attention he is receiving from Steve, Ema and the entire staff. The attention to detail from the care, meals, meds, care plan, cleanliness is amazing. The communication has been comforting, informative and constant. We highly recommend this group home !!

Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living is a great facility run by a husband wife team named Steven and Ema. Steven has experience with nursing homes having worked in the industry, and Ema is a nurse so lots of experience. We moved my dad there following a major stroke and they have cared for him as if he is THEIR father, with incredible empathy. My dad gets one on one attention and I know is being monitored and cared for 24/7, and the communication with us as family members is continual and timely. I'd highly recommend this facility if you are needing to place a loved one in an assisted living facility. You can rest assured your loved one will be cared for and you will be able to visit as often as you prefer.

Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living is family owned by Steve and Ema. Their Assisted Living home is lovely, peaceful, and clean. It truly is an environment where you feel at home with smells of freshly cooked meals.

My father-law-in was a resident at Pinnacle Peak Assisted during his final days of life. He had several health issues that needed nearly around the clock care. Their staff is onsite 24 hours a day, and they took lovingly care of him and all the patients in their home.

The day we brought my father-in-law to their home, Steve could see the stress on our faces. He said, “Don’t worry. He is family now.” The next day Steve was giving my father-in-law a haircut and beard trim. Although he was unable to take himself to the bathroom or manage daily activities, he always looked very well cared for from ensuring proper medication was administered, being clean, groomed, skin moisturized, no chapped lips, teeth brushed, well fed to being dressed nicely. Additionally, my father-in-law was able to enjoy peaceful time outside either on the front patio or backyard.

Other patients in the home appeared happy and engaged to where we even received daily hugs from one of their patients. Ema truly is protective of her patients and ensures she has a loving home environment because as she said, “This is their home now.”

Ema, Steve and staff work extremely close with Hospice of the Valley and they view them as an extension of their team. HOV indicated PPAL is "Top Notch" and one of the best run facilities they work with in Arizona. Ema and Steve are highly communicative to the families on a daily basis as well as with Hospice of the Valley.

We feel extremely fortunate and blessed my father-in-law spent his final days in a very well run environment. Their home relieved significant stress and anxiety for my father-in-law as well as for our family. We are beyond grateful to have found them and hope this review brings solace that Steve, Ema and their team will take great care of your loved one. We HIGHLY recommend Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living for families in need of a loving home environment.

Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living has the best care for your loved one. We love all the one to one care that PPAL provides for my dad. He had a stroke 3 years ago and needed more physical help than we could provide. He has been there for 2 years, and the owners, Steven and Ema are very attentive to their residents. They are both very visible and Ema, who is a nurse, provides medical assistance as needed. She talks to doctors and can order mobile doctors if needed. Ema replies to any text or phone call very quickly and they are very good at keeping us updated with any changes.

They hire the most caring caregivers who truly love the residents they are assigned to, and because of that, the care is consistent. The house is immaculate and they have updated the bathrooms and bedrooms. They do various activities like exercising, games, and music.
I would totally recommend Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living to anyone looking for loving care for your loved one.

This is an outstanding facility with a perfect number of residents, which allows for a high quality of care. Our dad has been there 2 years and we are very happy with his care.

The owners, Emma and Steven, are superb at overseeing care for the residents, providing updates to the families, and coordinating activities for the residents. They are very caring and that is obvious.

My mom has been in Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living for a year now. The house is immaculate, it is clean, and it smells good. My mom gets good food. She has someone there to take care of her. She is clean and her clothes are clean. I feel that she is safe there. Everybody is really nice. It is clean and pleasant to walk into. They communicate with me, too. They are very strict with their records, like if mom needs approval with anything, they text me. They're right on top of that. They're just so wonderful. They're caring and loving people.

Provided wonderful care for a close relative. I visited many times. The owners, Steven and Ema, and their entire team are caring expert caregivers and excellent communicators. Ema is a nurse and Steven has worked with quadriplegic patients for years. They are so kind, professional and compassionate to both the residents and the families, and work smoothly with the extended teams such as hospice. Their communication was outstanding…whether keeping us informed, or handling our constant questions. End of life is a journey no one can avoid, and it is so wonderful to have small, intimate care like Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living to provide such thoughtful and thorough care. Thank you Steven, Ema and your team!

Ema and Steve are awesome.
The caregivers are wonderful and kind and patient. Nancy and Char.

Wow, my Dad Tom has been here 6 months and every staff member has been so kind and caring. Clean and odor free! Cher , Sarina and Nancy thank you so much. Steven and Ema are great owners, professional and on top of everything. All are so patient and never a raised voice. We feel we were really lucky to find this place.

Ema and Steve cared for my mother for over 3 months. Their facility is spotless and the staff is devoted and attentive. When mom passed, just 5 weeks short of 103, they went above and beyond to assist. Truly compassionate people.

We were very impressed with Pinnacle Peak Assisted living. They were kind to my Dad and always treated him with respect and dignity. It was always very clean and welcoming with a family like atmosphere. I would strongly recommend this facility for the care of your loved one.

Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living provides great personal care for your loved ones in need. We have found Ema, Steve, and staff to be attentive, organized and caring.

We are relieved, and blessed to know our family member is receiving the best care possible. We highly recommend Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living A+++

It’s beyond heart-shattering when you reach the point of no longer being able to keep a parent safe and well cared for in your own home. Naturally, you want only the very best assisted living environment. That place is, without doubt, Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living!

The owners, Ema and Steve, are extraordinary individuals! I’ve never met people with such deep compassion for others. They consistently go above and beyond in the 24/7 care provided, attention to detail, and professionalism. The environment feels like a true home… it’s welcoming, clean, and all residents are looked after with a loving touch by the entire staff!

When I go to bed at night I have no doubt my mom is receiving the best possible care by compassionate people who work hard to bring a smile to her weary face. My father and I are profoundly grateful to Ema, Steve and their team for all they do for us on this difficult journey.

My wife spent the last year of her life at Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living. She had dementia and, as her disease progressed, she required more and more assistance with all aspects of daily living. Steve, Ema and the staff were amazing and were up to the task. It was so comforting to me to know that she was in such a wonderful place and received the best care possible.

Ema and Steve are wonderful, caring, responsive to all requests and very easy to reach on the phone. My mom was there for a short time and though she wanted to stay in her house, she felt very comfortable and well cared for. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for an assisted living facility for their loved ones.

PPAL is a small group assisted living home with only 10 residents, allowing for a personalized and customized approach to caregiving. The owners Steve and Emma are not only experienced professionals, they also bring a compassionate heart to their business. Their staff is well trained, reliable, and caring. The rooms are beautiful and the neighborhood is peaceful, allowing for pleasant street and garden views. The food is varied and appealing, and the kitchen staff is happy to honor special requests. The entire PPAL team provides loving care to its residents and keeps in close communication with loved ones. I highly recommend this group home whether you are looking for long-term or hospice care.

I am a 72 year old quadraplegic who survived a spinal cord injury in 1982. Over the forty years since then I have had many, many caregivers, of every attitude and quality. Steve and Ema stand with the very best few, high above virtually all the rest.

Steve provided my care for six years, and he never did less than stellar work. He knows well the arcane needs of the incapacitated, basics like skin care, catheter care, range of motion exercises, transfers, positioning, dietary limits, and more. He never loses his focus, and he never stops learning. He really and strongly cares about those who are lucky enough to enjoy his assistance.

He cooks as superbly as any chef, and his skills with a smoker are deadly delicious. 🙂 He also knows well how to use tools for house maintenance and repair. If something requires repair, it won't for long. He will keep Pinnacle Peak humming; he certainly did here. He quickly and effectively learns new skills as needed. He also reacts instantaneously and correctly to emergencies. Whether a burst water line, the untimely arrival of an unannounced visitor, or a 911 emergency, Steve will react more quickly and appropriately than just about anyone I have ever known. I miss Steve here, and any who stay at Pinnacle Peak will soon know why.

I met Ema when I met Steve. She briefly worked for me between terms while going to college (where by the way she earned tip-top grades in nursing school). While she worked for me little compared to Steve, she visited often and I learned to know her well. She listens well, has a generous heart, and she cares with obvious sincerity. She knows nursing very, very well. After graduation she worked in a hospital's emergency room, where she demonstrated her strong ability to evaluate quickly and respond correctly. She has a broad knowledge of nursing skills.

Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living Home is a beautiful care home for elderly loved ones.
The home is immaculate, clean, 24 hour care, with home cooked meals and each resident is treated with love and respect. State and federal guidelines are strictly followed. The home is a “home”. Residents can enjoy the outdoors on the lovely front and back patios. Music and games keep residents entertained.
It is a home where I knew was my Mom was always safe and well cared for.

Having to move your loved one into an assisted living home is one of the most difficult things a family will ever have to do. We recently had to make this difficult decision. Finding a quality facility/home can be very challenging. We chose Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living Home because of the openers, Emma and Steve. From the moment we met them we could sense their passion for the beautiful work they do. They are extremely knowledgeable, warm, welcoming, compassionate, loving, caring and treat those living in their home as family. They are very “hands-on” when it comes to caring for those entrusted to their care. They truly go above and beyond when helping a new resident adjust to their new living environment. They work very hard to ensure the transition goes smoothly. Emma, Steve and their staff are very attentive when it comes to meeting the needs of their residents. Their home is extremely clean and well cared for. We highly recommend Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living Home to anyone looking for a wonderful environment for this loved one with need of assistance.

After looking at lots of homes for my 93 year old father, we chose Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living. The home is beautiful and clean, and the staff is very caring. Steven and Ema made us all feel welcome, and they are very communicative and transparent about my father’s care. It is a difficult decision to move your parent from their own home to an assisted living, but we can finally breathe a sigh of relief, now that we know our father is safe and well-cared for.
I highly recommend Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living to those of you looking for the next chapter of care for your loved one.

Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living was one of thirteen assisted living facilities I viewed on behalf of my father. You can say that I saw it all, the good, the bad and the ugly. As soon as I walked in the door my gut feeling was a positive one! The home checked more boxes than were on the qualification list. Owners, Steve and Ema, are truly one of a kind! Every resident is treated with patience, kindness and care. Their knowledge of senior care and the aging process provides loved ones a sigh of relief! Even when my father was a challenge, their kindness never wavered. Ema, Steve and the caretakers became part of our family. On behalf of our family, thank you so very much!

I looked at several places that were referred to me by others. When I walked in, I was greeted by Steven and Ema. I knew right away that this was the place! I don't regret my decision. Not only is it a beautiful place, its location was very convenient and easy to find. I was impressed with the cleanliness.
Knowing how important it was to meet my expectations, I got the feeling of being part of the family!

Steve, Ema and their team are amazing. We relocated our mother from another state to Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living, and they were wonderful in supporting us with this major live event. We could not have asked for more supportive and knowledgeable care givers - Ema, a registered nurse, jumped in to ensure that our mother's prescriptions and medical needs were expertly managed with her primary care physician. Steve went above and beyond in assisting with her transition and the set up of her beautiful room that has a courtyard view & full bath included. Special attention was given to help her acclimate to her new home. My mom's meals and the daily care provided by the care giver team (Jamil, Ryan & Allison) are also exceptional and it has made the transition easier for all of us. The house is beautiful and clean - we all feel at home when we visit. I highly recommend Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living!

I found this place for an elderly gentleman that I helped care for. He needed 24 hour care and Steve and Emma were the perfect fit. His illness became quickly challenging and the wonderful caregivers and all of the staff were caring and compassionate. They helped me with additional resources for my friend and gave me the references for hospice. This community was there for every situation that arose, even being available in the middle of the night. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to be sure that there love one is cared for and treated with grace and dignity. Thank you to the staff for everything you did for my friend.

It is evident that Steve, Emma and their staff are experienced caregivers. They are compassionate, attentive and extremely supportive. They have always been available to answer any/all our questions.  In addition, they provide healthy home cooked meals in a extremely clean environment. Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living is definitely home away from home!!

Elderly care should be entrusted to those whose sense of caring superceded their desires for monetary gains... Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living care is home away from home with exceptional care.

My husband was with Emma & Steven for several months. They are the best; so knowledgeable in caring for seniors. Pinnacle Peak Senior Living is spotless with excellent caregivers. Emma is also a registered nurse which was an added bonus. During Covid 19 they followed state mandated protocol but with much loving consideration to the residence and to their loved ones. They answered any questions I had immediately and would reassure me if there were any concerns. I highly recommend this beautiful facility for anyone looking to place their loved ones in care.

My parents were in this wonderful home from December 2011 to October 2017. My dad was only there 1 year but my mom loved her time there even alone. The care givers were so carefully chosen and always had the residents needs in mind. The home was always extremely clean and she loved the meals. I could never have selected a better place for them to live. The owners, Emil and Cornelia, have made this a very special place if you are in need of an assisted living facility. Pinnacle Peak Emil & family,

Bonnie & I want all of you to know how much we appreciate your time & efforts taking care of mom and Don and keeping her safe these past 6 years.  Your kindness to her and our family means a great deal to us as we were not able to visit her as often as we would have liked to.  I fondly remember in our many phone conversations Mom was always telling me what a wonderful staff of people that worked at your home!  She appreciated your efforts in always keeping the place very clean, serving meals with an extension helping of Love, and going the extra mile spending time with mom either playing cards or just a nice visit.  Knowing our mom was in your expert hands was a special daily blessing.

Thank You so much!

My husband, Patrick, lived for a month at Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living and he received terrific care, had a bright sunny room and excellent food. The staff is pleasant, helpful, caring, and attentive to their guests needs. I recommend PPAL for quality care. Stephanie Larrison

If you are looking for caring, personal attention for a loved one, you will find it here. My mom was here for over three years and felt safe, comfortable and well treated. The home is in a lovely residential neighborhood in north Scottsdale close to a park. Mom had her own bedroom and bath and it was perfect for her. It is an intimate setting and very clean. The food is good and healthy. The owners Emil and Cornelia are loving caring people who hire good care givers. We came here on a recommendation from friends and were so happy to have found this home. Since then, we have had friends move their family in based on our recommendation.

Emil and Cornelia are the kindest, most compassionate caregivers you will ever meet. I made numerous trips to Pinnacle Peak Assisted Living to research a new home for my 93 year old father and Emil and Cornelia were very patient and informative. The facility is spotless, the food is delicious and home cooked every day and the residents always look neat, happy and well cared for. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility to anyone needing long term care. Thank you both for your kindness. ~Susan B. Cave Creek
